Why does it feel so good, so right, to see my child running in an open soggy field chasing small animals? This may have been my most favorite day this season. Note to self: visit open fields more often.

A Look at Books and Movies
Pippi Longstocking is awesome for boys and girls. Sekani and his cousin, Essau, love Pippi. They want to be her brothers and live with her. I forgot that she has superhuman strength and lives a wonderfully wacky life. Also, I was proud to show Sekani a character created by a Swedish woman, part of his heritage. Long live Pippi.
